Walter L. Goyetche, 88, husband of Mary E. (Costa) Goyetche, of Gloucester, died Monday morning, Aug. 21, 2007, at his home. Born in Gloucester on Nov. 23, 1918, son of the late Walter and Emilie (Briand) Goyetche, Walter graduated from Gloucester High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War ll. Shortly after the war, he served on the Gloucester Police Department for 32 years until retiring. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his two sons, Walter L. Goyetche Jr. and his wife Cynthia, Steven Goyetche, all of Gloucester; grandchildren, Mark, Alana, Kiley, Jeannine, Cynanne, Shirley, and Jay. Arrangements: a funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Friday at 11 aq.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are being conducted by Greely Funeral Home 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
