Notes

Obituary Notice Charles Raymond Goyeche, retired CP Telecommunications manager, was a family man, of generous and faithful spirit. Charlie lived a life full of love and humour, theatre, dance and music. He was a mentor to many through both word and deed, was known affectionately as ”professor” to many of his English as a Second Language (ESL) refugee students, and continually sought to try to make the world a gentler place for those around him. He died aged 88, on January 19, 2003, in Toronto, peacefully, with remarkable dignity after a long debilitating illness. He is survived by his loving wife Julie; four children, Laurie Goyeche, (Bob Hill), Stephen Goyeche (Ann Seymour), Robert Goyeche (Nola Grimes) and Patricia Goyeche (Alex Neve); and four grandchildren, Brennan Neve, Sean-Daniel Neve, Selina Neve and Julia Hill; siblings John Goyeche, Lillian Lycon, Jean Langille, Raymond Goyeche and their families; and stepmother Mary Bouchard. Visitation at DeMarco Funeral Home, 2058 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, 416-740-8454, Monday, January 20, 2003, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass to be held at Transfiguration of our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Dr., Etobicoke, on Tuesday January 21, 2003 at 10:30 AM. Reception to immediately follow the Funeral Mass at the home of Julie Goyeche, at 93 Poynter Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, 416-249-9603. Interment of the cremated remains to take place in Montreal in the Spring at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations welcomed to Laubach Literacy Canada, 70 Crown St., Suite 225, Saint John, N.B. E2L 2X6, 506-634-1980, whose English as a Second Language curriculum Charlie taught during his active retirement.
